West Lothian Council and partner services/agencies are moving towards a more outcome focused approach to the way activities are reported and measured. It is therefore vital that the partners have a shared understanding of community needs, and that each partner has access to as much information as possible about these communities. The Community Planning review identified the need for a more systematic approach to identifying and sharing knowledge, both at a strategic and local level. Having this 'joined up intelligence' will mean that information can be shared between partners, and a single shared perspective of West Lothian can be developed.
An Information Sharing Partnership working group was therefore established to oversee the development of a website & on-line database. Information will be presented for a range of areas, and partner agencies will take responsibility for the information held on-line, and provide contextual information to ensure that information can be readily understood.
The working group reports to the main Community Planning Working Group, and is chaired by Alan Bell (Senior Manager Communities & Information West Lothian Council).
Membership includes representatives from:
West Lothian Youth Congress This page will hold information about the remit of the group, the minutes of meetings & report on the progress of the work.
